The Hotel is situated in the wonderful Parco della Maremma Grossetana (Grosseto Maremma Park) in Tuscany. It is surrounded by characteristic Mediteranean pine scrub - in some part still unspoilt - which gives the whole of Punta Ala a beautiful emerald green colour. The hotel buildings is an old farm cottage built in the characteristic Tuscany Farmhouse style, with rough rustic walls, wooden fittings and traditional tiled floors. Once inside, guests find themselves in a spacious foyer with an imposing antique fireplace and large windows with a splendid view of the park outside. Characteristic antique Tuscany furniture completes the maremma farmhouse atmosphere. 37 rooms with every comfort, and a swimming pool surrounded by pines. A Caffè Baglioni bar, both indoor and out. private beach with fine white sand a short walk away, equipped with all the most elegant modern amenities. Tennis court. Golf course a few minutes drive away. There are actually three restaurants, all of which offer a rich menu including local traditional Tuscany specialities and international dishes, as well as the best Italian and Foreign wines. One of the restaurants is indoor, another allows guests to eat outside surrounded by nature, and the third is on the beach, where you can eat from a buffet a stones throw from the sea.

On the island of Elba, in the municipality of Capoliveri, Baia della Fontanella, the Grand Hotel Elba International is a natural oasis in the oasis. An exclusive private creek with cristal clear water, a soft and green hill for our guests only, a large hotel recently renovated which respects the generous surrounding nature, but especially respecting our guests. The rooms are all completely new and elegantly furnished. Some of the mini suites are particularly suitable for families because of their connecting doors, with one or two baths. The rooms of our hotel are all identical concerning the quality of the furnishing, the beauty and the unusual large bathrooms, all with shower and bath tub, hair dryer, large mirrors. Everything is completely new as the renovation of our hotel was only finished last year (2002). All rooms are realised following the latest techniques of environmental friendly construction, all used materials are natural, all electromagnetic fields are eliminated in the rooms, the furniture is made of massive wood without chemical treatments. All rooms dispose of a digital safe deposit box, a large TV with pay channel and satellite reception, direct dial telephone, air conditionning or heating (sometimes, during the cooler months of the season some heating during the night is not bad….).The rooms are only different from one each other for the presence or not of a balcony, a different panorama or some for some space (Junior Suites with a living room). The front rooms have a breathtaking panorama over the sea and the gulf, the rear rooms look over the hills, the swimmingpool or the surrounding country side. Very special are our Superior Suites, all in front of the sea, absolutely romantic and panoramic. Two communicating double rooms, living room, two bath rooms, linen bedcloths, bathrobe, sandals. Breakfast service in the room if requested - the breakfast buffet on the terrace is much nicer - daily newspaper, daily fresh fruit basket, fridge bar (soft drinks free). We therefore thought to practice different price conditions, for each room type, indicating very clearly the why of these price differences (position, space, balcony…). At the same time all our guests enjoy the same, optimal quality of our services, totally independant from the “view” or the “position” of the room.
