Frances Lodge is a country house that in the past century was the farmhouse and the lemon-house of the nearby eighteenth century manor. It is situated at the top of a hill near Siena, and yet you seem to be immersed in the silence and the peace that reigns only in the open countryside. Once you cross the gate and walk down the white path, the view of the city becomes clear and it remains, as a background of your stay, imprinted on your memory, with its incredible colours that light the citys skyliner, along with three hectares of vineyard and olive grove, poppy red fields and the sounds nearly forgotten ….. birds…. cicada…. the wind. Our completely fenced-in property ensures your privacy and enables you to enjoy a taste of tranquil country life (our real “slow life”). You will be greated with a warm welcoming smile at this large house and the tuscan countryside that surrounds it. Cool water, drinks and a basket of fresh fruits awaits you in your room. Above all, your landlords are always available to meet your needs. If you wish they will suggest little-known restaurants, out of the way places to visit, as well as the better-known ones: Chianti, San Gimignano, Volterra, Pienza and Val dOrcia. Upon request they can arrange to have an exceptional guide, Roberto, accompany you. Each of the rooms has air conditioning at a small additional cost, private bathroom, satellite TV, wireless ADSL connection, mineral water stocked mini-fridge a kettle for tea, coffee or herbal infusions, hairdryer, swimming towels, unusual colored sheets according to the style of the room, and light feather quilt in winter. More, our guests can have a “courtesy mobile phone” during their stay with us, at the simple cost of the phone Card. ADIRONDACK Style Room, furnished with natural woods and decorated in the shades of blue with a cosy bathroom Philippe Starck designed. Romantic WHITE Room, also called by our guests “the bridal room” all decorated in white, with old embroideries, laces and an old handmade crochet canopy bed, with a white and pink bathroom with an extralarge shower. English ROSES Room, another romantic room at the first floor, overlooking the garden, decorated in pink roses and black velvets, with a particular bathroom with an extra-large bath-tub for two. New Classic YELLOW Room, that will keep the style and the space of the previous Yellow Room, but itll be moved upstairs with an extra-large shower for two in the bathroom. Itll be able to accommodate up a family of four. MOROCCAN SUITE, that will keep the atmosphere of the previous Cosy Moroccan room, decorated with spiced colours, saffron and indigo for the living-room and red-ginger for the canopy bed in the woody mezzanine/loft; itll have an essential kitchenette corner, a large bathroom with two basins and a mosaic decorated shower (really a Marrakech bathroom !) close to the living-room and half bath in the loft. Itll be able to accomodate up to a family of four. JUNIOR SUITE, the best accomodation for families, since it is a two floor apartment: at the groud-floor the living-room has a new extension as a bedding area for children, a small but fully equipped kitchenette, an indoor dinette and an outdoor patio, a stencil decorated bathroom with a surprising shower; the double bed-room is upstairs, in the old dove-coat.
