Marialisa completely restored her great-grandfathers home and converted it into a comfortable and efficient lodging. She decided to offer all the trimmings of a hotel, with amenities such as satellite TVs, mini bars, and telephones in rooms, plus daily cleaning service. The terraced front of the pale-yellow villa is lined with terra-cotta vases of flowers and intoxicating wisteria vines. Upon entering the home, you pass through a small reception area with brick arches and equestrian prints into the luminous breakfast room where a buffet is served in the morning. Accommodations are scattered about the large, pristine home on various levels and are each similarly appointed in soft-green and mustard hues with sparkling new white bathrooms. Reproduction armoires and desks and wrought-iron beds harmonize well with the brick floors and high, beamed ceilings. There is a small pool at the back of the house and Marialisa offers cooking classes, teaching secrets of genuine Tuscan dishes. Marialisa is devoted to the well-being of guests and as a native of the area is a rich source of information.

Based at the second floor, in a finely renovated 16th century building (once belonged to the monastery of the Santa Cecilias abbey) the apartment, an 60sq mt open space, is a little jewel, decorated in an original way that respects ancient romanic architetture mixed up with a modern urban style. Among the many details, a restored fresco Greek fret running all around under the ceiling like a precious frame for all the ambient, a whitened extra long wooden staves floor, parts of ancient roman walls and a wooden beam and bricks ceiling. And then, antique cast iron, wrought iron, authentic doors, painted in fresco niches. Moreover, guests will surely enjoy the two windows and the little pretty balcony overlooked in a quiet court and from which they can admire, among many picturesque roofs, the beautiful view of the nearby Santa Cecilias bell tower. Anacapri rises on a plain at the foot of Mount Solaro, in the western part of the isle of Capri. The town, perhaps owing its name to its high position (the Greek prefix ana in fact means above), has a centre of rare beauty and charm: lovely small white houses with an eastern shape, surrounded by lush green olive and vine plantations. The house is located in the town center of Anacapri, in a very silent and peaceful pedestrian road. The house sleeps 4, it is quite big, 70sqm, composed of 1 bedroom a living room with a comfortable sofa bed, a small loft with a sigle bed (eventually for a 5th person), one bathroom with shower and a fully equipped kitchen. Transportation is very well organized. From the apartment you can reach the famous Grotta Azzurra or il Faro in only 10 minute bus ride.
